When AI starts, students meet at Albany State University
to learn how to talk to AI to do professional jobs.
We do not understand HTML, or CSS, or JavaScript. However,
we can ask AI to create a webpage based on them. Yes, we have
to learn how to talk to AI for such a very technical job.

Table of contents

  • Install GIT/VSC
  • Tips for communicating with AI
  • Loss, Cost, Linear Regression
  • Neuron and Artificial Neuron
  • Artificial Neural Network Models
  • Define Model Using TensorFlow
  • Dataset For Training
  • Batch and Eoch
  • Gradient Descent

Install GIT/VSC

Follow the following steps to setup your computer

  1. Install GIT, https://git-scm.com/downloads
  2. Install Visual Studio for Coding Insider, https://code.visualstudio.com/insiders/
  3. Create a github account using a gmail account, and create a blank repository
  4. Add AI extension to VSC
  5. Clone that blank repository to your computer
  6. Login openai.com using your gmail account and create a API Key
  7. Now, authenticate with openai in VSC using that API Key

Remark: Due to OpenAI's policy, you must subcribe to a plan in order to use one of its many LLM's. You can also create an organization and invite others as members and share the same subscription. Yes, it is also complicated to to pay for your subcription, e.g., you must use a credit card that is issued by a bank. A separate API Key is needed. Make sure you save a copy to your local computer. OpenAi does not let you retrieve late. In addition, the OpenAI webpage is hard to navigate. Check here for details.

AI is working

Summer 2024, WDD Using AI at Albany State University

Visit The Camp Website

A webpage is a stack of DIV's. Each DIV is a block that is designed separately. There are four styles for a DIV.

  • Brief room style: like whitehouse webpage
  • Lowe's style that lists categories of products
  • Artist style that shows a very meaningful picture with some description
  • Documentation style such as a university catalog

That's all we need to know to use AI to create a webpage. Click on the lovely pictures below to see what we did during the camp.
